Warhammer 40 Orks - My Custom Hulkster Blood Orks Tribe

Photos of My Ork Army Units

My built combat ready Hulkster Blood Ork Tribal force as shown below totals 695 Points.

Head Quarters Units

Ork Warboss
The Ork Warboss is one lean, mean, fighting machine! This Ork's fighting best is at close range where that power klaw is a match even for a Space Marine dreadnaught. Only the biggest, toughest, meanest Ork gets to be the Boss, so this the one Ork to avoid the most!
Points: 90
Base 60 + power klaw 25 + boss poll 5

Elite Units

Nobz
Smaller than the Ork Warboss, but larger than the Boyz the Nobz help motivate those smaller than themselves to get fighting and keep fighting when going gets tough. They fight hard hoping one day to get big and tough enough to replace the Boss.
Points: 105
Base 5*20 + stikkbombz 5*1

Troops Units

Ork Boyz
The Ork Boyz make up the core fighting units of the Orks. They don't shoot very well, so they rush in to fight close combat striving to overwhelm their enemies with their numbers as they hack away at them. Over time fighting makes an Ork tougher and larger so these Boyz may indeed grow up to be Nobz.
Points: 150
Boyz 20*6 + replace slugga with big shoota 2*5 + stikkbombz 20*1
Gretchen (Grots)
Gretchens also called Grots are the smallest of the fighting Orks and need motivation to do their fighting. A mob of Gretchen will be overseen by a Nob Runtherder who whips and prods them into action. The Gretchen are better shots than the larger Orks, but where they hit on tougher enemies their inferior weapons often don't leave a scratch. They are very successfully used for grabbing objectives while the enemy focuses on the larger Orks who are more of a threat. Grots are also used to clear mine fields by driving them in to detonate the mines.
Points: 45
Gretchen 10*3 + Runtherder 10 + replace grabba stikk with grot-prod 5

Fast Attack Units

Deffkopta Squadron
Flying over the terrain like a jet bike, these thrill seeking Orks scout and pack a mighty punch. The lead Deffkopta has a twin-linked big shoota. The other three Deffkoptas add to the calamitous racket and destruction with their twin-linked rokkit launcha.
Points: 170
Base 4*35 + twin-linked rokkit launcha 3*10
Ork Warbiker Mob
This Ork Warbiker Mob of one Nob with a power klaw and to Ork Boyz are ready to zoom in behind enemy lines and cause some damage. The bikes have twin-linked dakkaguns and create their own cover with the noxious cloud of exhaust the engines create.
Points: 115
Base 3*25 + Nob 10 + power klaw 25 + boss pole 5

Heavy Support Units

Big Gunz Kannon
This Kannon crewed by two Grots can fire both anti-tank rounds and fragmentation rounds. Gretchen in the mob are threatened with ending up on the Big Gunz crew if they don't fight hard enough. Grots on a Big Gunz crew often go deaf and are at risk of losing limbs removing defective shells while their teammate sets the Kannon off again for fun.
Points: 20
Base 20

Current Ork Army Strength and Planned Army Expansion Force Organization Chart

The table below shows the number of minimum compulsory and maximum optional numbers of the different types of units (which give the maximum total when added) that can be deployed according to the Warhammer 40K Rule Book for a standard mission. A unit under each mob has a minimum and maximum number of individuals for a given type that comprise a unit as defined in the Ork Codex. For example the Ork Deff Dread has a minimum and maximum of 1 tank per unit, but the Killa Kans has a minimum of 1 Killa Kan and may include up to 2 additional Killa Kans. Based on the minimum and maximum unit numbers, I have projected out the types of units I want to acquire with some To Be Determined (TBD) mapped against the current units that I already have. Until I have all of my armies built up to these minimums, I am trying to avoid buying more of a troop type than is allowed to be deployed.

Numbers in table below are current/planned, except where noted "x not built" which denotes amount bought but not assembled and painted.
