Warhammer 40K - Crimson Fists Space Marines

Photos of My Crimson Fists Space Marine Units

My built combat ready Crimson Fist Space Marines force as shown below totals 620 Points.

Head Quarters Units

Captain
This Crimson Fists Space Marine Captain is equipped with a Bolt Gun and Relic Power Sword. He is most valuable when he joins an infantry unit to bolster their leadership and for his melee skills.
Points: 115
Base 90 + Replace chainsword with relic blade 25

Elite Units

Dreadnought
Classified as a walker vehicle, this unit is one tough fighting machine. In the first game of my Ork forces against my Crimson Fists forces with this unit present, the Nobs mob of 5 Orks attacked this unit in close combat. Due to a special rule for walkers in close combat, all hits against the Dreadnought are against the front armor. Though the choppas in the Nobs hands were treated as big choppas, there was no way when they hit that they could damage this unit. They were subsequently routed.
Points: 100
Base 100
Terminator Squad
The Terminators with their heavy armor, storm bolters, and power fists are ready for a fight at range and close in. The only odd quirk of this unit is that their Sergeant equipped with a power sword (along with the Captain who is likewise equipped) has a melee attack strength that is half of what the Terminators with the power fists have.
Points: 200
Base 200

Troops

Tactical Squad
The Space Marine Tactical Squads are the core fighting units of the space marine forces. The Veteran Sergeant is equipped with a chain sword. One space marine has a missile launcher and another has a flamer. The others have bolt guns. For close combat all members of this unit have a bolt pistol. Also all of my infantry units (including the Captain and Terminator squad) carry Krak and Frag grenades.
Points: 150
Base 70 + five additional Space Marines 70 + Space Marine Sgt. to Veteran Sgt. 10

Fast Attack

Attack Bike
This Attack Bike (along with the dreadnought) has the most potent weapon currently in my armory, the Multi-melta gun. Upon hitting and wounding, this weapon defeats all armor for saving the enemy hit from damage. The Attack Bike is also equipped Twin-linked Bolt Gun. Just in case needed, the Space Marines on the Attack Bike also have bolt pistols and grenades (Krak and Frag).
Points: 55
Base 45 + Replace Heavy Bolter with Multi-melta 10

Current Space Marine Army Strength and Planned Army Expansion Force Organization Chart

The table below shows the number of minimum compulsory and maximum optional numbers of the different types of units (which give the maximum total when added) that can be deployed according to the Warhammer 40K Rule Book for a standard mission. A unit under each squad has a minimum and maximum number of individuals for a given type that comprise a unit as defined in the Space Marine Codex. For example the Predator tank has a minimum and maximum of 1 tank per unit, but a Space Marine Tactical Squad has a minimum of 1 Sergeant + 4 Space Marines and may include up to 5 additional space marines. Based on the minimum and maximum unit numbers, I have projected out the types of units I want to acquire with some To Be Determined (TBD) mapped against the current units that I already have. Until I have all of my armies built up to these minimums, I am trying to avoid buying more of a troop type than is allowed to be deployed. This leads to some tough decisions as indicated in the table where I have multiple this or that choices and I really want both!

Numbers in table below are current/planned, except where noted "x not built" which denotes amount bought but not assembled and painted.
Technically, I am short one compulsory unit type Troop as my Tactical Squad has only one Sergeant in it, so building another Tactical Squad is the highest priority for this army!
